The Wellington Park Hotel welcomed over 150 Old Boys’ and guests for the 2011 Annual Dinner. In a change to tradition, the President, Stephen Orr, and the Old Boys’ committee introduced a new format for the evening with speeches taking place between courses.
The format proved to be a real success, allowing formalities to end early and the Old Boy’s to retire to the Bar to catch up with old acquaintances.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank a number of people who made the night a success. Our thanks go to the three speakers - David McCalmont, the Headmaster Moore Dickson and Trevor Ringland – for providing an entertaining and educational evening. We would also like to thank the President, Stephen Orr, for all his hard work and preparation. Finally we would like to thank Malachy and his team from the Wellington Park Hotel for making the evening run so smoothly.
We have now set a standard that we hope to continue in the future and look forward to welcoming many new Old Boys’ to the Association in the coming months and years.

A Board of Governor of the school Stephen joined the Old Boys' association in 1988, the same year that Robin Reid was President.
During his time on the association Stephen had been Dinner Secretary for 10 years and is looking forward to his own Annual Dinner being organised for him!
